Rikki Kasso is a genre defying award winning contemporary artist based in Shibuya Tokyo. Working in a multitude of mediums and formats which include photography, film, video, painting, illustration, installations, mixed media, music, fashion, design, sculpture, public art, architecture and beyond. In 2010, his 280 page photobook TOKYO, was released by Powershovel Books. His photo works have garnered him the Photographer of the Year title in 2009 at the UK’s Erotic Awards.
Receiving awards and prestige for his architectural collaborations as well for the prestigious Mejiro Kindergarten, in Mejiro, Tokyo. The work, “The Future Starts Now”, a 5 story (20 x 30 m) permanent public art/architecture piece housed on the façade of the Kindergarten, and is enjoyed by millions of people daily travelling on Tokyo’s most populated train line.
